The Interconnected injustice .

MILLIONS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN STRIVE FOR PROGRESS BUT FACE INTERLOCKING BARRIERS: LACK ACCESS TO SKILLS,RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES TO BUILD SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS: CONSEQUENTLY CHILDREN ARE DENIED EARLY LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.

Yet, support systems are often fragmented -leaving women – the key agents of community change – without the integrated resources needed to overcome these combined challenges. The ultimate injustice? Generations remain locked in cycles of poverty because holistic, community-driven empowerment is often missing where it's needed most.
Our Solution

Women Action Foundation Kenya is equipping vulnerable women with sustainable economic power and nurturing children’s foundational potential  through open community hubs that integrate access to skills, resources and markets for women  and provide accessible quality early learning environments for children  to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and build thriving futures for generations to come. We enhance women agency and opportunity. .We invest in Children’s Futures .

Evidence confirms that holistically empowering women creates a ripple effect – Improving child  health and education outcomes , boost family economic stability ,enhancing community resilience and reducing vulnerability – multidimensional returns . Empowering women through sustainable livelihood opportunities

We equip women with the skills, resources, and market connections they need to start and grow thriving businesses and sustainable agricultural ventures. By building economic independence, we enable women to provide for their families, create jobs, and strengthen their communities.

INVESTING IN CHIDLREN'S FOUNDATION

We create safe, stimulating, and supportive early learning environments for young children (ages 0-6). Through holistic, play-based approaches and active parent involvement, we ensure children gain the foundational cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills necessary for success in school and life.

Our Bold Vision

A world free from poverty, where all individuals live in dignity and have equal opportunities to succeed.

Our Big Hairy Audacious Goal is to empower 100,000 women to achieve sustainable livelihoods by 2035.

What our beneficiaries say..

Before receiving pads, maintaining hygiene during my menstrual periods was difficult, and I often missed school due to embarrassment. When WAF- Kenya supported us with sanitary towels, it made a big difference. Now, I never miss classes and feel comfortable and active in school. I am truly grateful to WAF for providing us with these essential supplies.

Belinda Mboya

WAF Kenya has been of help to our school since 2021 in two main areas. In Sexual Reproductive Health and Hygiene, they have had sessions with our adolescent students and educated them on how to navigate . They also built a pad bank that supplies our girls with sanitary towels, boosting their esteem in class. In ECDE, WAF Kenya donated tables , chairs, and reading materials. We really thank WAF Kenya
